To mark the release of the 30th Italian Report on Migrations 2024 , Fondazione ISMU ETS hosted a day of insightful discussions and debates on migration, featuring experts, professionals, and special guests.

The Report is now online. An English version of the volume will be available soon.

Our Report offers a comprehensive statistical overview of migration in Italy, delving into key issues such as participation in the labour market, multicultural education, health, and religious affiliations. It also explores the evolution of migration policies, particularly focusing on the externalisation of the asylum system.

At the European level, the Report assesses the impact of the Pact on Migration and Asylum and explores global migration flows. It addresses current issues like physical and symbolic borders, the media narrative on migration, the role of migration in shaping public opinion, and the conditions faced by people with disabilities and a migrant background.

Additionally, it provides insights into Italian attitudes towards migrant populations, income capacity and remittances, welfare and new tools to improve services, and the dangers of discrimination related to artificial intelligence.
